Bloomsbury Place – Network Infrastructure for Office Refurbishment

As part of a large-scale refurbishment project in the heart of London, PPG was tasked with converting a former residential building at Bloomsbury Place into premium commercial office space. To support the demands of modern business tenants, a high-capacity data infrastructure was required—consisting of over 300 Cat6 data points throughout the premises.

The project demanded a fast, reliable, and future-ready network, with careful planning around outlet locations, connectivity zones, and seamless integration with services like Wi-Fi, access control, and print solutions.

Varciti was contracted to deliver the full structured cabling installation, from design through to certification and handover.

Key Project Components:

• Structured Cabling Design:
  We developed a tailored network layout to serve all areas of the refurbished building, including open-plan offices, meeting rooms, reception areas, and support spaces. Each data point was planned to meet the tenant's future technology and layout needs.
   
• Cat6 Network Installation:
  Our engineers installed over 300 Cat6 data outlets, including:
  • Floor box terminations for desks and workstations
  • Wall-mounted outlets for printers and AC units
  • Coverage for enterprise-grade Wi-Fi across all floors
     
• Testing & Certification:
  Every cable run was tested using Fluke testing tools to certify performance and compliance with structured cabling standards. Final documentation was prepared for handover.
   
• On-Time Delivery:
  The project was delivered on schedule, in line with key milestones, and aligned with PPG’s deadlines for property readiness and leasing.
